When I think back to dress shopping, three shops come to mind, which I guess means they were the best ones that I visited! So here is my round up of the best bridal boutiques in the North West.
A gorgeous little shop in Altrincham that’s reserved just for you and your entourage. You’ll start by picking a few of your favourite dresses in the store before heading upstairs to the stunning dressing room to try them on. Your entourage will be happy whilst they wait as Emma serves up some pretty special cakes during your appointment. Here you’ll see designers like Sassi Holford and Enzoani, I found that most dresses in here feel pretty boho. I am far from a boho bride, I’m just not that cool, I did manage to find some more ‘classic’ dresses though so don’t cancel a visit based on a couple of the designers they stock. Love Bridal is also the brain child behind The Wedding Edit which is an amazing annual event and I would strongly recommend you get tickets for it.
This was the last shop I visited but also the place I said yes to the dress! It’s a large bridal store in Colne which put me off visiting at first as I much prefer little boutiques. The only reason I went was because I knew they had two dresses I loved. The experience I had at Ava Rose was top notch and nothing like I expected from a large boutique, everything from the decor to the choice of dresses and the consultants was perfect. Whilst you won’t be the only bride in the store, you will have your own large dressing room so you’ll certainly feel like the place is yours, they even have extra large rooms for big bridal parties.
They stock all the big names including Pronovias and Stella York, the choice of designers is so vast that I doubt you’d leave here without finding a dress. I found this boutique really laid back, I was in the store for ages deciding which dress to go for and they didn’t make me feel under pressure at any point. Another great thing about buying your dress from here is that they do all their fittings in house at a fixed price of £250, no matter what alterations you need.
This is another small but gorgeous boutique that is exclusively yours. It’s in the small town of Clitheroe which feels a bit like the bridal capital of the north, seriously, there are loads of bits and bobs for brides in the town including stationery, numerous dress shops and outfits for the MOB. Kimberley Anne greets you with bucks fizz and Lindt chocolates which is a great start to any appointment in my opinion. The shop itself is immaculate and whilst there isn’t loads of choice there are some stunning designers including Dando London and Charlotte Balbier. Kimberley Anne is a recent bride too so she knows exactly how it feels to be on the hunt for your perfect dress, she’s also fab to follow on Instagram!
I visited loads of others too so if you want to find out any more about them then just ask. Here is the very full list:
Happy Shopping!! Xx
